Kara Romanko, L.Ac., MSTCM
Kara Romanko is a graduate of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) where she earned her Master’s Degree. Her extensive experience includes treating HIV positive patients (through the Ryan White Program, Castro-Mission Health Center and the St. James Infirmary as well as her own practice) as well as Hep C patients and other internal medicine disorders.
She also excels in treating women’s health issues including PMS, menopause, and infertility as well as pain management and addiction.
In addition to TCM, Kara has training in the Kurmadani style of Japanese Acupuncture, providing a gentler but equally effective treatment for more sensitive patients.
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been practiced for over 2500 years in China. The benefits of TCM have become widely recognized and integrated with mainstream healthcare.
TCM focuses on the person as a whole. Through acupuncture, herbs, diet and other modalities TCM unblocks the channels and encourages an even flow of Qi restoring the body’s balance, relieving pain and other symptoms.
